Bibha Simkhada: Chairperson of Green Tara Nepal
Bibha has wide range of experience on Nepalese women’s health issues. She is active social worker and activist on women’s right issues. She got her Bachelors degree in Microbiology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and Nursing degree from Robert Gordon University, Scotland, UK. She is currently working as a RGN in Scotland and also doing PhD in the University of Aberdeen and looking at Maternity care in Nepal. She is highly committed to improve women status in Nepal through research and advocacy.
Salita Gurung: Programme Manager
Salita has a masters degree in Health Education from Tribhuwan University Nepal and another master in Comparative Local Development from University of Trento, Italy. She has 5 years working experience in reproductive and sexual health along with research, program implementation and monitoring. She joined the team in May 2011 and is a strong advocate for women’s rights.
Monita Sharma: Health Promotor
Monita trained as an auxillary nurse- midwife and comes from the local field area. She particarly enjoys working in the community and making connections with local women. GTT has trained her in health promotion and she is well respected by community members.
Ishwori Nepal: Health Promotor
Ishowri has many years of experience working in Eastern Nepal as a human rights campaigner, women’s activist and health worker. She is particularly skilled in using participatory approaches in community work and engaging the poorest and most marginalised people in community programmes.
